Appointment with destiny

A scene of Ragnarök, movieverse version. Doesn’t follow the Avengers movie storyline at all, just the myths and a bit of my own story.

Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Sigyn (Sophia Myles), about to depart from their fortress in Jotunheim to invade Asgard, in the Naglfar ship. They are going to meet his destiny… and also Odin, Thor, Heimdall, and Loki’s sons Fenrir and Jormungand’s… the Ragnarök.

She goes with him because her duty is being by his side, but she’s sad and frightened because she had read a book called Völuspá, which prophesies that Loki will die in a fight against Heimdall. Loki doesn’t care: if he has to die, he gladly will, as long as he can destroy his enemies. But she doesn’t complain to him nor ask him not to go, because she knows that Ragnarök is the most important thing for Loki, the main goal of his life. And she will support him until the end, even if that implies she will lose him.

Characters based on Norse mythology, belong to Marvel. The story is… part mine I guess.

Una escena del Ragnarök adaptada al movieverse. No sigue para nada el argumento de la película de los Vengadores, sólo el mito y un poco del universo de mi propio fanfic.

Loki (Tom Hiddleston) y Sigyn (Sophia Myles), están a punto de partir de su fortaleza en Jotunheim para invadir Asgard, en la nave Naglfar. Van a encontrar el destino de él… y también el de Odín, Thor, Heimdall, y de los hijos de Loki, Fenrir y Jormungand: el Ragnarök.

Ella le acompaña porque su deber de esposa es estar a su lado, pero está triste y asustada porque ha leído un libro llamado Völuspá que profetiza que Loki morirá en combate contra Heimdall. Y a Loki no le importa: afirma que si tiene que morir, lo hará con gusto mientras pueda destruir a sus enemigos. A pesar de su miedo, ella no puede pedirle que no vaya: sabe que el Ragnarök es lo más importante para Loki, la principal meta de su vida. Y ella lo apoyará hasta el final, aunque eso le suponga a ella perderlo.

Los personajes están basados en la mitología nórdica, pero estas versiones pertenecen a Marvel. La historia es mía, hasta cierto punto claro, ya que también está basada en el mito.
